It's On Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30
Mineral sunscreen for the entire family
The more you look into sun protection, the harder it tends to be to find a product that meets all your needs. That is why we are very proud of our new mineral sunscreen, which stands out for the following reasons:
- High sun protection
- No compromises on ingredients
You can find all the information about our mineral sunscreen below. If you have any further questions about us or our products, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
Mineral zinc sunscreen
When it comes to sun protection, a distinction is made between chemical and mineral UV filters. Both types have their own specific advantages and disadvantages. To eliminate any risk to health and the environment, we use only the non-nano form of the mineral UV filter zinc oxide in It’s On. This ensures that our UV filter is gentle on the skin and safe for the environment.
Sunscreen for the entire family

It is important to us to offer a mineral-based sun cream for the whole family. That is why we use high-quality, natural ingredients and have consistently avoided any potential risks to health and the environment. We would particularly like to highlight:
- Fragrance-free
Perfume can break down when exposed to UV light, which can cause skin irritation - No chemical UV filters
Chemical UV filters can pose health risks; some may even release substances that are potentially carcinogenic - No titanium dioxide
Titanium dioxide is a mineral UV filter that was previously classified as ‘probably carcinogenic if inhaled’ - No nanoparticles
Nanoparticles are very small particles; the assessment of the risks to health and the environment has not yet been completed
Important note:
The skin of babies and young children is very thin and therefore particularly vulnerable to UV radiation. For this reason, children under one year of age should not be exposed to direct sunlight. At this age, UV-protective clothing and hats are the first line of defence, providing protection in addition to shade.
Children should continue to avoid direct midday sun until they reach pre-school age. UV radiation tends to be at its strongest between 11 am and 3 pm; during this time, young children should not be out in direct sunlight and should be protected by UV-protective clothing, hats and sunscreen.
Valuable ingredients

A full list of ingredients (INCI) can be found at the bottom of this page. Here, we would like to highlight a few particularly beneficial ingredients in our mineral zinc sunscreen:
- Zinc oxide (non nano)
Broad-spectrum UV filter for reliable protection against UVA and UVB rays - Aloe vera
Moisturising, cooling and soothing for the skin - Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis)
Moisturising, soothing, anti-inflammatory and calming for the skin - Horsetail
Skin-firming, anti-inflammatory and regenerating - Vitamin E
Protects the skin from free radicals, strengthens the skin barrier and locks in moisture - Verus Amor
Love is an emotional force and an essential ingredient in sustainable products. Although it is odourless and colourless, this ingredient gives every product a unique and special touch.
Dermatologically tested
We have had our mineral zinc sunscreen tested by dermatologists for sensitive skin. The test revealed no skin irritation or allergic reactions. Our sunscreen is suitable for sensitive skin.
This does not apply if you are allergic to any of our ingredients. If you have any known allergies, please check the full list of our ingredients (INCI, see below).
Water-resistant sunscreen

Our sunscreen is water-resistant.
The information regarding a sun cream’s water resistance refers to how its protective effect is affected by exposure to water. For a water-resistant product, the sun protection factor must remain at least 50% of its original value after exposure to water. Our mineral sun cream actually exceeds this requirement. Nevertheless, the protective effect is reduced by exposure to water. For full protection, fresh water-resistant sun cream should therefore be reapplied after every time you go in the water.
Ocean & Reef safe

Our mineral sunscreen complies with Hawaii Act 104 on reef protection.
To protect coral reefs from bleaching and damage, the Hawaiian ‘Ocean & Reef Safe’ Act (Act 104) bans sunscreens containing oxybenzone or octinoxate. In addition to Hawaii, Palau, the Virgin Islands, Aruba, Bonaire and parts of Thailand and Mexico have also introduced bans on oxybenzone and octinoxate. The statement “ocean & reef safe” refers to the compliance of our mineral sunscreen with the Hawaiian law on reef protection.
Sun Protection Factor
Our mineral zinc sunscreen offers sun protection factor 30 (SPF 30). Thanks to the broad-spectrum filtering action of zinc oxide, it provides reliable, high-level protection against UVA and UVB radiation.
We are often asked, ‘Why only SPF 30?’ We have two answers to that:
- To further increase the sun protection factor, we would have to use ingredients such as titanium dioxide, nanoparticles or chemical UV filters. This would potentially pose a risk to health or the environment and is therefore out of the question for us.
- When used correctly – apply generously, allow sufficient time for it to take effect and reapply regularly – SPF 30 provides adequate protection.
As a rule of thumb, SPF 30 increases the length of time you can safely spend in the sun by a factor of 30. So, if you can safely stay in the sun for 10 minutes without sun protection, for example, this increases to 300 minutes with SPF 30 – a full 5 hours. This covers the hours of peak UV radiation from around 11 am to 3 pm. In addition, you should allow your skin to take breaks in the shade during this time, regardless of whether you are using sun protection. The WHO provides detailed information on the local UV index and sun protection advice via its free app sunsmart global uv
Application
Apply a generous amount of the mineral sunscreen before sunbathing and allow it to be fully absorbed. The recommended application time is approx. 15–20 minutes.
For a better understanding:
The zinc particles form a protective layer on the skin, reflecting and absorbing incoming UV radiation. This begins immediately after the cream is applied. However, full UV protection is only achieved once the protective layer has fully formed. For this to happen, the oils and liquid components of the cream must be absorbed into the skin. Once this has taken place, the zinc oxide forms an even, protective layer on the skin and provides the desired sun protection
